In this weeks lesson I have understood and learnt about narratives, I was able to learn about a linear, non-linear, omniscient and restricted narrative. A linear narrative is a basic narrative which includes a starting, middle and a ending in an order. A non-linear narrative is the opposite as the narrative does not follow the original orders and often involves flashbacks or the future or the past. A omniscient narrative allows us to see the narrative from more than one persons point of view and this is shown in films in like adulthood and kidulthood. Restricted narrative is only one persons view throughout the whole narrative for example Mia in Fishtank.
Learning about the different types of narrative has helped for my initial idea, i now known that my narrative is a restricted narrative because the main character is Ayesha and it is based on her life and the problems she faces.
