Over all the Majority of people I asked had a slight idea of what British Social Realism was as they responded saying gangs, violence and reality comes to mind so there for it shows that quite a few people know a bit about BSR genre, the other half of the 10 people I asked were unsure about the genre and needed me to do some explaining and examples.
The people I asked for my primary research answered back saying Adulthood,This is England, Fish tank ect when it came to saying which BSR films they have watched, this is helpful because these are the BSR films I have watched myself giving me an idea of what my audience might be expecting from my BSR film. I asked the public which types of themes and narratives they might want to see in a BSR film and they responded saying murders, teens involved in fights and drug deals so therefor these are the popular film themes and narratives.
The people I questioned thought my narrative was effectual because religion is a strong topic and so is going against families and parents who usually play a big role in a persons life. My narrative includes disobeying parents which would be the theme of rebellion which most people thought was different and haven't heard of before.
